This time we make a simple paracord keychain.
This keychain is made using square knots, which are also called “cobra knots”. These knots are the same as the ones used in the cobra knot paracord bracelet.
In fact this is a very similar project. It results in a nice looking paracord keychain that also holds a bit of paracord for emergency use.
You can make this keychain as large as you want. I’d say that 3 feet of paracord is more than enough for this project though.
So, let’s make one!
You will need:
That is all you really need to make it. You could use two colors if you so chose, but a single color one looks just fine in my opinion.
Fold your cord in half.
Take your left cord and run it under the core to the right side.
Place your right cord under the left one.
With your right cord, go over the core and through the loop on the left.
Now make a loop on the right side using the cord on the right. Go under the core and over the left cord.
With your left cord, go over the core and through the loop on the right.
Now make a loop on the left using the left cord. Go under the core and over the right cord.
With your right cord go over the core and through the loop on the left.
Continue alternating knots to the right and left side until you make a length you would like.
Cut the ends and attach a key ring.
Enjoy your new keychain!
